Audioconference Overview

Companies in the United States have developed and continued to refine comprehensive compliance systems that focus on complying with federal laws, the OIG Compliance Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, and an increasing number of state laws that pertain to pharmaceutical activities and sales and marketing of products. The pharmaceutical world operates on a global platform and cross border business activities are gaining increasing attention from regulators outside of the United States. The complexity of the pharmaceutical enterprise makes the harmonization of a company's approach to business with these variety of regulatory requirements with which they must comply a challenging task. This audioconference brings together experienced executives and advisors to the pharmaceutical industry to address the growing need for compliance on a global basis. The session will outline the regulatory considerations confronted by pharmaceutical companies in the non-U.S. setting, will discuss some practical approaches regarding the development and refinement of a global approach to compliance, and will discuss some of the challenges contemplated by the myriad of laws, regulations and local practices with which the Pharma business enterprise must consider in its operations.

What Is an Audioconference?

It is a live event that includes an interactive question and answer period, and access for an unlimited number of participants at each call-in site. However, only one site can be offered per registration. It is impermissible for an organization to purchase one registration and to operate multiple sites through an internal telephone system. During the live Audioconference participants will be able to ask questions and make comments. The Audioconference faculty has agreed to take follow-up questions via email.
